Our lovely Lea is taking a couple of months off work to prepare for the birth of her baby girl! We’re really going to miss her but we’re looking forward to her coming back. In her absence, we will be working with the amazingly talented Katie McGuire, who we worked with last year at a fun fundraiser for The Alzheimer’s Society. Our first outing with Katie is this Saturday night at the iconic Duke of Edinburgh hotel on Abbey Road in Barrow-in-Furness. We’d love to see you there!!

Heart and Soul have just completed 5 extremely successful party nights in Fell Foot park with Bridge Catering Ltd from nearby Greenodd! These were no ordinary nights, taking place in twinkling teepees with log fires and beautiful decorations! We loved playing to their customers who were all keen to dance the night away with us. Amazing food, amazing surroundings, amazing guests and amazing hosts! Can’t wait for next year!! Heart and Soul were invited to share in another special day – the wedding of Bernadette and Andre! Clarence House was a class act and was resplendent in its Christmas decorations, only outdone by the beautiful bride herself! The music went down a storm with the guests and Bernadette was kind enough to leave us some marvellous feedback in our guestbook!! Heart and Soul were thrilled to be asked to play an upbeat, hour long set for long standing friends of the band, Rebecca and Carl. Following a stunning wedding in Portugal, Rebecca and Carl chose to celebrate with all their friends at the amazing “Nines” venue in Barrow-in-Furness. Guests boogied away and helped celebrate the couple’s nuptials in style! Thank you to them both for allowing us to be a part of their special day xxx

Heart and Soul were priveleged to have headlined an amazing fundraising event with the local Furness Firecrackers Roller Derby League. Together with the girls, The Devotion and Katie McGuire we helped raise nearly £500 for the team and The Alzheimer’s Society. A great night was had by all and we debuted our amazing video disco, which went down a storm! The 1980s fancy dress was inspired and some of the outfits would have made Madonna proud! We’d like to formally thank our Sound Engineer, Gary Stewart for all his hard work. Without his endless commitment to the band we would never be able to have made the technological advances we’ve made recently. Thanks also go to Dave Duffin, Steve Porritt, Katie and Mike McGuire, the lovely Lea, Darren and Dbasser, Jeff and Kier – let’s do it again sometime!!!
